Project 1
AI + Asiance
This project was for Asiance, a Korean digital marketing firm, that was intent on using our think-tank as a source of direction for how the company could utilize AI within their current framework. Our first meeting with them indicated a concern with the idea of falling behind in the future forward landscape that AI is evolving both in the tech world and beyond.
We started with deep research and immersion of the culture the firm serviced, their clients, and their own culture and history of work within the company itself. From this jumping off point, we brainstormed ideas, formulating three big concepts to refine and discuss with the company as we honed in on what would fit them the best. First, long term vision. Next, narrowing it down to what we could offer them in terms of next steps in our two week timeframe.
Below is a brief storytelling of how this process unfolded.
How might Asiance unlock internal efficiencies to catalyze human innovation and creativity, for a sustainable business?
Of the three big concepts we brainstormed, Asiance was most intrigued by the idea of a personal AI assistant tailored specifically to each and every employee. We came up with the concept MyAI, which we quickly pivoted to MyAIsiance, a way to incentivize employee retention and increase productivity.
MyAIsiance not only helps each employee to be more productive, it acts like a second brain- think “limitless” but without the pill. An assistant that never quits working, bridging gaps in human communication errors overnight to find solutions and support a cohesive team.
Narrowing: scale this long term “big idea” into a feasible project both for the company’s current capabilites and our 2 week timeline.
Our solution was simple:
1. utilize existing AI platforms in a simple plugin that Asiance’s current tech support can create, being mindful of internal privacy concerns and client privacy concerns, while keeping costs within budget
2. create a journey map to explore what this might look like for Asiance employees and what hurdles they may encounter along the way
Through this research, we found that many workers don’t understand how to utilize AI to achieve the productivity results their employer expects, and even more are concerned it decreases productivity when they don’t understand how to use it effectively.
Workers want to become experts on AI, but don’t know how to utilize the tools effectively and are uncomfortable admitting this to an employer
These research finding led to our final solution: change management. This roadmap allows for the employees to become confident in their personalized AI augmentation, complete with sharing what they’ve learned with each other in a chat room platform so they are able to augment their connections with their peers.
This solution not only creates the perfect balance of AI super powering humans and human connection rather than overpowering it, but also gives the employees a greater human network with which to bond in the workplace, leading to higher employee retention rate and empowering employees to grow for the good of each other and the company’s wellbeing.
